AERIAL SURVEY FOR ARCHAEOLOGISTS
Posted by Nurul Basher on

For a bit of professional development (and general interest) I took a Certificate of Higher Education module in Archaeology at Birkbeck College in the winter months leading up to Christmas last year. The course was great, with a wide range of topics and lively seminars run by our tutor, Dr Stuart Brooke - I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting a practical grounding in Archaeology. We had a choice on final essays, and I did mine on aerial imagery and how it can be used by archaeologists. If you'd like to see a practical demonstration of...
TECH SOLUTIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND SURVEYING COMPANIES RETURNING TO WORK AFTER THE COVID CRISIS
Posted by Nurul Basher on

The Coronavirus crisis has been different for all of our clients. Some shut down completely, others - especially those dealing with crucial infrastructure projects - kept working throughout. It boasts the ability to do 360,000 laser scan setpoints per second with the user able to select high, standard and fast resolutions as well as High-Dynamic Range (HDR) and thermal imaging. And it’s fast, taking less than three minutes for...

X-PAD 3.5 SET FOR RELEASE
Posted by Nurul Basher on

Last week we announced the great new X-Pad Fusion product being added to Geomax's range. But in keeping with their philosophy of innovating, they have also brought out an update to X-Pad Survey and Construction. There are great new features improving the work with total stations. New controls ensure error free measurements by constantly checking the instrument is in level and there is no false target lock. In case of prism loss, customers can take advantage of the controller’s GPS and start direct search of its position by significantly reducing the locking times. Those who work on site with...
