GEOMAX ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF THE ZENITH35 PRO GNSS RECEIVER!
Posted by Nurul Basher on

Last week in Rome we got a sneak peek of Geomax’s latest product release, the Zenith35 Pro GNSS receiver. It’s compact, rugged and most importantly, boasts 555 channel multi-constellation and multi-frequency capability to support all satellite systems now and in the future (it’s best to think ahead with these sort of things...) The other great feature with the Zenith35 is its unique “Tilt and Go” functionality that allows you to quickly and accurately measure inaccessible points. Time spent levelling is a thing of the past as provided you don’t go past 30 degrees of tilt, you’ll remain accurate...
TRAINING AND FEEDBACK DAY AT SURVEYTECH HEADQUARTERS IN LONDON
Posted by Nurul Basher on

Yesterday we hosted a great training and feedback day at the office where we invited David Price, the UK manager of Geomax to share some of the latest developments in X-Pad software with some of our most valued clients. They in turn had a chance to ask any burning questions about their work processes when using the Zoom90, Geomax's flagship robotic total station. A day like this not only allows surveyors to learn from the experts but also lets us give feedback to the developers as to what can be improved. The beauty of the Android operating system is that it's...

X·PAD 3.0 Software The new X· PAD 3.0 is the latest version of field software available for Android devices and for Windows Mobile platform. It includes X·PAD Survey for Windows™ and for Android™, and for the Construction version of Android™. There are a few great new features but our favourite has to be that it now works seamlessly with google maps (or bing, Openstreet and Ovi) to be seen as layer maps and even allows them to be saved in the memory of the controller to be used offline. We love X-Pad for Android as it's just so intuitive on the...
NEW GEOMAX ZONE LASER ROTATORS
Posted by Nurul Basher on

When GeoMax released the new Zone series of lasers back in January we were very excited at Surveytech, especially as only a month later, we were due to fly to Wulfrath, Germany to be trained in how to service them. Just as the new product was hitting the shelves, we were getting the chance to see ‘under the bonnet’ and really get a feel for how they worked. The new range did not disappoint, combining a rugged exterior (pretty damn important given the punishment some items have to take out on site…) and a tried-and-tested laser core developed in...
X-PAD TPS AUTOMEASURING MODULE FOR ANDROIDTM
Posted by Nurul Basher on

In tightly-packed London, we’ve often given our customers EDMs in order for them to monitor surrounding buildings for movement during works. It’s obviously a very necessary task, but can be a nuisance to tie up an engineer having to make periodic measurements throughout the day when there are plenty of other jobs to be done. This is why we were delighted to see the new AutoMeasuring module for X-PAD survey software on Android being released. Used with the Zoom90 robotic EDM, the instrument can then be set to perform automatic measuring sessions on a set of defined points at...
