Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid position for a Head of Machine Control at SURVEYTECH LTD, located in Mitcham with remote and site work. The successful candidate will head up the Machine Control department covering Sales, support and installation. They will interface with manufacturers and stay up to date with market trends, and will work collaboratively to ensure that machines are set up correctly, and customer support calls are resolved promptly and efficiently. They will be responsible for following up on leads and generating sales through direct contact and marketing activities, working alongside Unicontrol and the team at Surveytech.

The potential growth of the Machine Control market in UK over the next decade is enormous when viewed in a global context. Surveytech has been instrumental in bringing the Unicontrol Machine Control brand to the UK and this is your chance to build on initial successes and take things to the next level.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the surveying or construction industry, with a focus on machine control
  • Technical knowledge of heavy machinery and machine control technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface with customers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse complex data and make informed strategic decisions
  • Proficiency in project management and the ability to prioritize a workload effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as surveying, civil engineering, or geomatics is useful but not essential. Experience in the industry counts for a lot.
  • Experience with CAD and related software is a plus
  • Having a network of contacts in the construction industry would be beneficial in this role

    Hours and Remuneration

    Generally the working week will be 9-5 with flexibility around sometimes having to start early on an installation day etc. Salary and bonus will depend on experience and performance but you can expect 35-45K base plus bonus.
